Text Translation

One special area not often addressed is Brand Name Analysis. Surprisingly few companies thoroughly research the possible implications of their brand names across language boundaries. Don't be caught in General Motors' predicament when they tried to launch the Chevy Nova that "does not go" in Mexico. ("No va" means it doesn't go in Spanish.) Have us check your ideas before you spend millions developing the new brand for the international market. We will research the local dialects and slang or vernacular of each non-English market to ensure that your message will not lead to misinterpretation or embarrassment.
Literary Translation
TE-I Language Services is not only about business and technology. We can also translate literary texts, including novels and journalistic or periodical articles from non-English into English. We work with a contract adapted from the PEN Society for literary publications.
Text Editing and Proofreading
If you already have a translation or text drafted but you want to check it for accuracy, we can edit the text in any of our languages including English (even native English texts can benefit from fine tuning by someone with a background in Linguistics). We can also "back translate" a text translated into a non-English language to see if it tells the same story when converted back into English by someone else.
Web Site Development and Localization
TE-I Language Services can translate your web site and also adapt it to a local audience in your target market. This is known as "Localization."
